ABE : Advancing Business Education

At the end of the internship, the student who succeed the formation will be certified by ZCET. This certification has been approved by ABE which is an organisation providing internationally recognised learning and credentials. ABE exist to empower people transforming their lives and communities through gaining high-quality business, management and entrepreneurial skills. The collaboration between ZCET and ABE:

  • Demonstrates the excellence of ZCET centre-devised courses
  • Increases the value and marketability of ZCET programs by providing internationally recognized evidence of quality.
  • Programs are vetted by ABE professional-quality assurance team against their quality control measures
  • Providing confidence to learners that the programs are credible and have high standards
  • ABE confirms that learners’ programs have been designed at the right level, meets their intended outcomes and their assessment methods are robust, secure and appropriate

VTA : Vocational Training Authority

Vocational Training Authority (VTA) is a parastatal organization under the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT) of Zanzibar. It is assigned with the responsibility to:

  • Supervise vocational training by, determining the standards of the training's, accessing/evaluating vocational training centres, registering vocational training centres, accessing/evaluating capacity and skills of trainers and trainees.
  • Coordinate vocational training by, conducting research of the employment market, preparing/formulating scheme (curricula, syllabus of long term and short term courses), dealing with the vocational training, enhancing capacity development and development of skills of the trainers and leaders of the vocational training.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate fund for the operating of the vocational training system
  • Confirm all certificates issued by the registered Vocational Training Centres.
