Honorable Simai Commends Tourism Investors for Boosting Zanzibar's Prosperity

During the inaugural graduation ceremony held at the Zenj Center of Excellence for Tourism (ZCET) in Michamvi, Zanzibar, Honorable Simai, our distinguished guest of honor, extended his wholehearted appreciation to the visionary investors who are steadfastly fortifying the tourism industry and championing community support.
Honorable Simai lavished praise upon the ZCET graduates for their acquisition of indispensable skills and knowledge, vital for the hospitality sector. He passionately implored them to become exemplary ambassadors, judiciously applying their acquired expertise within the hotels they choose to be part of, thereby upholding the center’s sterling reputation.
Furthermore, Honorable Simai offered insightful counsel to prospective hotel investors, urging them to contemplate selecting talents from the rich pool of ZCET graduates. These graduates not only possess theoretical knowledge but have also gained practical experience through their tenure in various hotels during their training.
Yves Montel, Co-Founder of ZCET, graciously expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training for their invaluable guidance in the establishment of ZCET. Mr. Montel firmly believes that ZCET is poised to become a premier institution for tourism training in Zanzibar.
Additionally, Honorable Toufiq Salum Turky, a driving force behind ZCET, explained on the primary mission of the center, which is to uplift the Michamvi community and its neighboring areas by harnessing the benefits of tourism. Situated in Michamvi, Unguja South, the center offers comprehensive training in food production, front office operations, housekeeping, food and beverage service, and tour guiding.
The tourism sector in Zanzibar has witnessed substantial growth in recent years, attracting both local and international visitors.
